[One month after her 'victory' against Ninetails, Moro is in much better shape. She isn't roaming close to the village lately, however - any snowfall is remarkably free of her giant pawprints. But for those that venture into the forest, the prints in the snow or dirt are almost always fresh - she has been roaming nearly nonstop since she recovered.

Today, one may find Moro comfortably perched near the lake, looking over the wildlife that came to the water. There's been no effort to hide herself, despite her smell of old, caked blood still a bit fresh from the shoulder wound that Ninetails had inflicted, and the numerous other scars. She was still a bit tender, after all, and those were vulnerable spots. But, as is her way, she's stubborn and confident to the end.

And honestly, for those who want to talk to her, she's looking very content and very peaceful. She'll probably be willing to have a civil conversation! (Gasp!)]

[You... are not Wolfwood. Vash has been out in the woods a lot lately looking for Wolfwood in case the Malnosso had decided to toss him back yet. He knew it was probably just a waste of time, but it felt good to be doing something.

Running into a giant wolf did not fall under his idea of trying to do something useful. He's just going to try to tip toe away in the hopes you haven't seen him or smelt him yet.]

[Link, who has taken to wandering through the forest on a regular basis since coming back from the draft, has definitely spotted those pawprints. So he's not too surprised when he emerges out near the lake, near the giant wolf herself.]

[Pausing a little, he gives her a quick smile as he makes his way down to a log near the water's edge.] Hi, Moro - can I stay here a little while?

You have done nothing to harm the forest.

[So basically you've earned your privileges so far.]

Thanks. You know I wouldn't hurt it. [He gives her a fleeting smile, then pulls off a glove to scoop up a pebble, skipping it across the surface of the lake. It doesn't go very far.]

[That's when it occurs to him that something isn't quite right - frowning, he turns back to her.] Did something hurt you?

[San is just sitting with Moro quietly, for now. They haven't talked much about the two weeks she spent living in an apartment like a human.

But she still wears the snowboots.]

[Yes... unfortunately, the animals' hides aren't quite large and thick enough to make good boots for you, so she's allowed you to wear the snow boots.

But it's good to have your company, because who needs words to enjoy that?]

[Though the scent of the wolf god was horrendous in the forest today, Ninetails is not deterred. She still heads into it, hunts in it, and will drink from the cool rivers and lakes. Perhaps it was fate, then, that drew her to the opposite side of the lake, padding right up to drink before her eyes zero in and narrow at Moro.

And she just grins. Hello, mongrel.]

[The smirk on Moro's face grows, and she calmly stands, facing her foe.]

[Ninetails cackles, and swishes her tails behind her. She's not looking for a fight, just some good, ol' mud-slinging.]

What a cocky beast...yet you achieved nothing with your weak and dull things you call fangs.

[ Practicing in the battle dome only does so much to soothe Lightning's desire to do something with her time, and since it's not actually snowing today, now seems as good a time as any to wander the forest a little, right? Of course.

Those huge paw prints have certainly caught her attention, but although she's quite curious, finding their source when she reaches the lake really wasn't what she expected. She pauses a short distance away, just staring at the huge being- after the implied chastising from other residents for attacking a deer, she's much warier about assuming the beasts in the forest are out for blood.

That thing, however, looks a lot like something that would be. She doesn't recognize her from the journals, yet. ]

[The scent catches Moro's attention, and she growls a bit, turning her attention to the newcomer. That smell... why did it seem familiar?]

[ Ah, spotted. Lightning's expression hardens, her posture wary and hand swinging down towards her gunblade-- though she doesn't touch it. Yet. She also knows the animals here speak, so: ]

[Ami's taken to walking a bit more than she might normally, as a sort of way to clear her head. She has a book in hand, finger marking her place, and she seems quite absorbed in enjoying the outdoors until she spots Moro. Her eyes widen.]
