[Weakness... what is weakness? What does it mean to be too weak to leave?

Truly, there are few with stronger convictions than Moro. There are few that have more brute strength than Moro, and almost none that have the resolution to easily kill with a single bite and to taste blood on their tongue like Moro.

But she is also weak, in ways. She is stubborn. She is narrow-focused. She focuses not on herself, but on the forest and nature around her - she exists for that, not for herself. Doubly so now that she has no pack to live with. The aching wound in her chest remains and sucks her strength away, and she will undoubtedly be sickly and even die for it. She starves in this place, because there is not enough food for her.

But Moro doesn't focus on these things. She doesn't ask these questions. She simply... exists, as she always has. She bares her fangs at those breaking branches off of trees, and stalks those that gather fruits or go hunting. She is resuming her duty as though nothing has changed. But her demeanor has changed, as well, these days. She also watches as people are leaving or going back into the village. She can be seen hovering nearby, ears clearly pointed in their direction and listening to their words.

In some instances, Moro even speaks to them, when they approach the forest or are wandering through it.]

Do you seek strength?

[A strange question, coming from Moro. She has never been the sort to open her ears to other people's thoughts and views, or to offer any sort of aid - if that even is what she is doing now. She is not exactly the most trustworthy god, having been one that has sunken her teeth into transgressors with little hesitation. But she has also existed to her fullest every day, with resolution and will that was unshakeable - there may be something to be learned from her, for those that are bold enough.]

[Action]

[Though she wasn't immediately near the village after the return to the future, it isn't long before she's back and doing her rounds outside of it. Her scent, fur and tracks once again start circling the village, and those that wander through the woods will find that they have an escort.

Those that remember living in "this" Luceti will remember Moro as a brutal forest god, who has on several occasions actually bit people for what they had done to the forest, taking limbs and even a couple lives. It was a rough year or so before Moro was stopped by those living in the village, and she permitted others to enter the foliage. She was probably one of the most dangerous incidents that the villagers had to face, with the war's absence. But as time passed, she grew more begrudgingly accepting of their presence and the fact that they were not like the humans she knew.

Of course, she is still dangerous and she still menaces those that cut down more of the trees and plants than they need. But these days she is the sort to quietly give lessons and speak her wisdom to others, and she ponders her existence in this place. She's not pleasant company, but she is very interesting company, to say the least.]

[Voice | Action]

[What a surprise - another very rare voice post from Moro! And like usual for her with the strange magical device, her message is short and sweet.]

I seek those who saw the battle against the rotting corpses. The place called "Vaskoth", where I died. More than mere survivors, I wish to seek those that I had touched.

Come to the forest. I shall be there.

[And there she always is. She was gone for a time, perhaps in the mountains or further towards the edge of the barrier, but her tracks around the village are fresh once more and the wild animals shriek her name in terror if they aren't gossiping madly about how little she's actually chased them lately.]

[Voice]

[As always, Moro's use of the journal is extremely minimal. She has only one thing to say to any of you, as she is so kind as to warn you all in advance.]

I have returned. All who grievously harm this forest will die.

[Action]

[With that, Moro can be found in the forest, slowly and stiffly walking about to get herself familiar with the forest of Luceti once more. She sniffs at the bark of trees, scratches at some patches of dirt with her claws, and otherwise silently moves. She has no mark of the demon, as many of her victims from over a year ago have... she has nothing amiss about her other than the bleeding of her chest wound, which is simply dripping along the path she is walking.

She has not yet approached the village. All she has done is use her journal to address them, and she is currently carrying the paper book in her mouth.]

[Action]

[So, Moro's calmed down significantly since the arrival of the Kin'Corans. There was a bit of tension at first, with the arrival of new Lucetians, but she soon recognized their arrival pattern and left them be.

As their arrivals slowed down, Moro began to interact again. Namely, by dragging fallen wood from deep in the forest and leaving it by the village edge - something that she's done before. She's also bringing out branches of trees that have acorns and seeds still growing on them - hint hint, so to speak. She's got several other small things, such as various wild fruits and a few plants she recognized as edible thanks to San's diet before.

Moro herself will be approachable, not snarling or growling at all, and almost (aaaalmost) looking apologetic for her extreme behavior. Almost.]

[Action - Whole Event]

[From the moment that the newcomers entered the village, coming from the South when she was towards the North, Moro showed many more signs of severe territoriality. The trees have layers of bark clawed into, pawprints are stomped into the ground, fur is shed, and various gory or gruesome little marks all around the village.

Moro herself is persistently circling the whole village, firmly policing who is going in and out. It takes her a long time to go around, as she walks carefully to try and not miss anything, but where she does catch someone, she leaves them be only if she recognize them as Lucetian. Any newbies may have a little issue, but if you can convince Moro that you're really from Luceti, it'll be easy to leave.

But Lucetians will note that Moro is incredibly violent and aggressive towards the visitors. She snaps at them long before speaking to them, chases them until they retreat into the village, and some come so close that they come back with ripped shirts, some torn out feathers, and one hell of an adrenaline rush.

As the power goes out, some undoubtedly attempt to cut the trees for firewood... and those do get more seriously attacked. Or don't come back - perhaps they make it deeper into the woods, but it's also likely that Moro kills and possibly eats them. But never a Lucetian - she leads them to dry, dead wood, so that the trees are spared.

She was behaving so well! Feel free to come and ask her what's got her so murderous, catch her in the act of attacking some hapless newcomer trying to cut wood, or if your character only just came to Luceti recently, get mistaken for a newcomer.]

((OOC: Specify date in your subject header; she'll be active from the 26th to the 31st. Here is a permissions post if you decide a fight might happen!))

[[Action]]

[During the drafts and the flooding, Moro simply evacuated. As a result, the den she had taken residence in has since become uninhabitable. Any possessions of San remain in the cave, soggy and growing mold; Moro has no interest in material possessions.

She does, however, have an interest in finding a new den. Which, given her size, is not an easy thing to do. Now that she's back and close to the village, those who wander even a short ways into the forest may find Moro pawing at holes to see if she can dig them wider, or even trying to squeeze into larger pits.

She is not making much success, mind.]

[Action - Back AND Forward Dating!]

[[May 26th - 27th]]

[It's the return of teeny puppy Moro! She's a fluffy thing, about the size of a labrador despite being a very young puppy, waddling around the village and looking lost. And yes, there is a little bit of tiny puppy whining...]

[[Daylight Hours May 28th - 29th]]

[There's a strange new entity, wandering around. It appears to be a deer, though it has very bizarre feet, a strange coat, and upon closer inspection, a human face. It's an eerie thing, often trotting absolutely silently along the surface of the water.

Unlike the true Forest Spirit, it is not so quick to get out of the way of humans. That's because behind that face is a very grouchy wolf god, who is a bit less grouchy than usual now that she's a whole different type of god.]

[[Night Hours May 28th - 29th]]

[As the sun sets, Moro takes her new body to the lakeside, and something mysterious happens. Her body bloats, fur fading, and she transforms into the mighty Nightwalker (depicted in the post icon). It stays away from the village, but with such a small enclosure, its massive form is always within sight. It walks around the enclosure silently, and strangely. But unlike the true Nightwalker, Moro does seem to be more aware of her own existence.]

[[May 30th - June 1st]]

[SUDDENLY, WOLF GOD. Rather, Moro is afflicted with Teleportation. Perhaps this all too large wolf god randomly and unwillingly appears in your bathroom. Or crushes your bed, with her gargantuan weight. And surely you don't want a several ton wolf sitting on your couch!]

[[June 2nd - 4th]]

[This Moro has been in Luceti before, as well. A younger Moro, but not a helpless fluffball of a puppy. She's running and leaping around in the forest, a lot more spry than the achey, bulky older Moro. The young god is staying near the village, apparently looking to speak with those in the village, but being respectful of their territory.
2012-04-21 08:07 pm

[[Voice]]

[For once, Moro is using her journal! Her voice comes over the journal, sounding strangely serene. There's a touch of sadness, but overall, she seems content.]

I am aware that my daughter was known, and loved, by some humans. She has returned to where she belongs. There are things still in this den, from her memories of all of you.

I do not care greatly for any of you. I still do not trust many of you.

But she did. And that is something that you should know. Do not dare disrespect that.

[Even with that closing threat, Moro doesn't seem to be untrusting, threatened, or angry.]

You now have but one forest god. And I will defend these trees until I die doing so.

[[Action]]

[Moro did not visit another world, nor did she bring anyone to her world. In fact, she is so out of the loop that she hadn't even heard of the deal at all.

So imagine her surprise at all of this strange behavior. Well, it's not too bad, compared to past events, but Moro's been around long enough to recognize that something is amiss.

For the first time in some time, she's wandering through the village without the intent to collect meat. She's sniffing at houses, somehow slipping between buildings when she's not simply walking out in the bold. Welcome back, Lucetians, whether you recognize this wolf wandering around your homes or not.]

[[Action]]

[The weather's been pretty tough, lately, and it's kept Moro inside. But, for once, she can be seen outside the village, not too far, soaking up as much warmth from the sunlight as she can.

Winter hasn't treated her very well. She's looking even more skinny than usual, with ribs showing and even her fur looking like it's thinning in places.

But, in this case, she isn't here for food. Simply, to sunbathe.]
2012-01-28 12:29 pm

[[Action]]

[Well. What a flood of newcomers. Or... "newcomers". Something seemed amiss.

Moro's tracks are all around the forest, and most of them are fresh. There's some fresh kills, or at least the freshly eaten remnants of them. There's some territorial markings here and there. All in all, it's a very unfriendly welcome.]

((OOC: HELLO! Yosie is planning on having Gaston from Beauty and the Beast go on a hunt for Moro. If you're interested in participating, then go look at his information! If you just wanna bother Moro, then you are also free to do just that.))

[Hunting isn't the best it's ever been, lately. As such, Moro is breaching her usual pact to stay out of the village and entering to see if she can get some meat for herself.

Hey, humans come into the forest for lumber and food all the time. It's her turn.

She finds the butcher's, grumpily demanding them for meat.]

[A post from Moro's journal is extremely rare - that thing almost always sits in her den, completely ignored. But apparently, her message is pressing enough to paw at the thing until she feels it's turned on.

Which means about five minutes of a giant paw padding the paper before Moro's grumbling voice goes through it.]

If you humans do hear me: do not forget that the trees without leaves in winter are not dead. Do not cut them unless you are sure they are or unless you are in dire need.

[Just another day, another time for Moro. Though usually quite content to keep her distance from humans (despite her growing fondness and affections towards the captives of Luceti, she was still incredibly hesitant to be trustful), today it seems she's lounging around just outside the village boundaries. She's even stretching and rolling around, participating in very casual behavior, not very typical of her usual demeanor.

Of course, these slightly embarrassing behaviors are only viewable from a distance, as she quickly regains her dignity and sulks into the cover of the trees when someone approaches too close.

The second half of the day is spent idly hunting. Because it's best to stock up on fatty reserves for the winter anyway. You might get that funny feeling of being followed...]

[Moro is... tiptoing?

...What the hell?

Err, that is. The giant angry wolf god is tip-toeing through the village, looking... incredibly cartoony doing it. She's trying not to but it's apparently just beyond even her own willpower.

She's sniffing about, indulging in her sudden craving for fresh pies. And piggies. And grandmothers.]

[Strangely enough, for once, Moro is not confining herself in the forest, nor is she wandering into the shops. She is simply within the village limits, staying out of most everyone's way, but not leaving. Why is she here?

She seems tense and stressed, being amidst humans. One could assume that she feels out of place... but unlike previous ventures into the village, she's not curling her lip at anyone, no matter how close they get.

Maybe she needs something...?]

[[Action]]

[There's something strange afoot, in luceti's forest. Namely that... it's bigger, in a chunk of land. The trees are remarkably taller, thicker, and generally of a different species of flora. It seems huge, towering over the natural Luceti forest, but it is only so large in area. Should you dare to venture into the massive trees, you'll eventually find yourself at a pool with pristine waters and just enough part in the trees that the sun shines down on a little central island in the lake.

If you chose to stay for a while, you'll feel a buzz of something supernatural. You'll see Japanese species of insects, maybe a mouse or two... and if you stay long enough, you may be lucky enough to encounter a tree spirit.

If there were monsters here, they are regularly cleared out. And if those familiar giant pawprints and small footprints alongside them are any indication of who, you can probably expect to encounter one of the wolf tribe within these trees.]

[Moro's been oddly missing for... quite some time now, actually. Two weeks of being incredibly distant from the village, only rarely appearing in the distance to keep an eye out on the village. A week or so ago, she disappeared entirely, after what one would likely assume to be a mallynapping, given the evidence of violence in some areas.

Now, however, a much smaller wolf is haunting the god's usual stalking grounds. Even on Moro's usual perch, it's obvious that though the wolf is significantly smaller, it's still a very abnormally large one. It's not easy to see in the distance, but she does, in fact, have two tails.

Slowly, throughout the day, she's wandering closer and closer to the village. Do you come to meet her, or wait until she's just outside of the town limits?]

((OOC: I've been meaning to do this for a year now! XD Moro's gonna be significantly younger for a week or so. For reference, she's the size of her own pups within the movie. All replies will come from [livejournal.com profile] puppy_moro.))

[If there's any question that may arise today, it's only one; "Moro, what the hell are you even doing."

For whatever peculiar reason, Moro is bringing mouthfuls of wood towards the village, leaving a fairly sizable pile of said wood stacked where villagers can clearly see it. The wood comes in many sizes; anything from a tangle of branches and sticks to thick and heavy logs that make even Moro pant a bit when she drags them into the pile. The time between each drop is rather large, and increases as the day goes on. Wherever she's getting this wood, it's rather deep in the forest.

Then again, that may be the point. She seems to be making an attempt to be helpful, so why not ask her about it?]
