[Moro's been oddly missing for... quite some time now, actually. Two weeks of being incredibly distant from the village, only rarely appearing in the distance to keep an eye out on the village. A week or so ago, she disappeared entirely, after what one would likely assume to be a mallynapping, given the evidence of violence in some areas.

Now, however, a much smaller wolf is haunting the god's usual stalking grounds. Even on Moro's usual perch, it's obvious that though the wolf is significantly smaller, it's still a very abnormally large one. It's not easy to see in the distance, but she does, in fact, have two tails.

Slowly, throughout the day, she's wandering closer and closer to the village. Do you come to meet her, or wait until she's just outside of the town limits?]

((OOC: I've been meaning to do this for a year now! XD Moro's gonna be significantly younger for a week or so. For reference, she's the size of her own pups within the movie. All replies will come from

[It's the size that throws Emil off at first, because he's used to Moro being... well, a heck of a lot bigger than that. But it's impossible to mistake those two tails, so when he catches sight of them, he stops and blinks.]

... Moro?

[She skids to a stop, looking at Emil. Her body language is significantly less hostile than it normally is.]

I suppose you also knew of the "older me".

Yeah, that was how we first met.

[Pause.]

... but you don't remember any of that, do you?

...No. I would recall a human with such golden hair.

I think I simply do not "know you yet". Rather than not recalling who you are.

[But that's a very strong shift, and she can sense it.]

I apologize. Were we allies on the battlefield? Or should I recognize you as a foe?

I guess "allies" is the closest word for it. We've fought together before, but I guess you wouldn't remember that either.

I do not know it yet.

I suppose you must already know of the elder Moro. I am the war goddess Moro, of the Wolf Clan.

And I'm Ratatosk, the spirit of the old World Tree before it was destroyed by the humans.

World Tree? Destroyed by humans?

Yeah. The World Tree produces mana, which is the source of all life. Without mana, no one can use magic, and all life on the planet will wither and die. It's as important to life as water or air, which is why the humans wanted it all to themselves.

...that sounds remarkably foolish, to simply destroy the tree.

[There's a teeny tiny speck of skepticism, but that's because she doesn't yet think people are THAT stupid.]

Oh, they didn't destroy it on purpose. They just used too much of its power for their own selfish desires until the tree withered and died.

Were there no gods protecting the tree?

Our world doesn't have gods. I was the closest thing there was, but even I didn't realize what was going on until it was too late.

[Moro does not seem angry, or quite judgmental, but there is a bit of disappointment.]

Then your failure has doomed your world.

It wouldn't have been doomed at all if it weren't for those damn humans.

Listen to yourself.

[She lowers her head, fur bristling.]

You were the guardian. It is your responsibility to protect the tree, and you failed. You are not without fault.

I was also busy trying to make sure the door to the Ginnungagap stayed closed. If it opened and demons got through, there would be no world and no tree to protect at all. Besides, the Centurions were supposed to help balance the mana as well.

[You're just getting a pointed, slightly judgmental stare.]
