I have been fighting for the same thing my whole life. My duty is ingrained in my very blood.

Nothing is going to change that unless the humans cease their violence towards the world of the spirits altogether.

From what I understand, those particular tribes have been banished and wiped out in human wars... apparently the boy's tribe is less than a hundred people, tucked away in hiding far from where the gods reside.

They are a dying race because of the humans that declare war.

...Technology often advances far faster than humanity. I will agree with you there. But I cannot believe that they are completely incapable of redemption. I have seen otherwise.
