[As is her usual routine, Moro is roaming through the village. The strange part, however, is that it's the middle of the day at the moment, and those wolf tracks you might see every morning appear at night.
She's showing no sign of aggression, simply roaming about... but that can't be right. Feel free to approach her and interrogate a reason for stalking the villagers out of her. Just mind her temper.]

But, great one, I can feel your spirit. Though you may say otherwise, I can tell you are a powerful entity. What are you called, oh wise and noble wolf?
[Miya searches, but is sad to see that she doesn't have anything to give to you. Perhaps a flower or two? ...But what would a wolf do with flowers? Dang it...now she feels bad for not bringing an offering.]

Oh! I-I'm so sorry for defiling your forest, Mother Moro! I-I didn't know. I-I can replant anything that I've picked from your endless garden...
[And yes, of course Miya thinks this is your forest, Moro, she's pretty naive that way.]

See she misses little spirits like these.]
You are not bringing harm to the forest, little one. The trees still stand and all is in balance.

Miya smiles and looks around the dense forest, up at the towering trees around her. It was the true picture of beauty, especially in the little patch of grass and herbs that remained slightly untouched by the frost and snow.]
Mother Moro, your forest is beautiful~ I'd be honored if you'd allow me to to partake of it. I promise I will plant two of each one I take, so as not to destroy the beauty you so rightfully protect.
[And, true to her word, Miya scoops up what she dropped to the ground in one arm, and her brushsword in the other. Painting a few specks onto the earth around where they were, the land erupts with a few young saplings. Bah, they were supposed to be full grown trees! Oh well, Miya still needed to practice that skill anyway...And saplings are better than nothing, right? ♥]

But your blessing is not unappreciated, little spirit.

A-Ah! Yes...M-My name is Miyabi. [Polite bow.] Have you been here long?
[Miya wants to pet you, Moro, but even she can't hop that high. And she's unsure if she even should pet you. ...Won't stop her from doing so, though. Everyone loves petties!]

[Well that's fine, she figures she'll be enjoying the company of a sprite so she lays down anyway.]

Curse her epic tininess! Her own wings give a little flutter, and Miya bounces over to the wolf's side to stroke her fur tederly. Good gods, you were absolutely ginormous, Moro, your fuzz alone could swallow Miya up.]Mother, you must miss your homeland very much...It it's not too much, I'd like to hear about you world. I bet it's beautiful.
[What the heck, Miya has time to kill - despite picking herbs and tea leaves for the people with colds. It's always better to stop and converse with a stranger. Friendships and and stories were developed and passed along this way.]

That forest was being cut down by humans to pull the iron from the soil. They created weapons that would kill gods, and started to slaughter us.

Miya actually falls, upon hearing the end of the story, rolling into a messy heap where she first began, which was at the wolf's side. Straightening and bouncing up and down furiously, Miya cries out in alarm.]
B-But--!! H-How could they!? That's...that's horrible! If they kill the gods then...then...! [Miya can't even picture it. It's too horrible to envision. Just a world of chaos and dark, evil spirits. No, worse. Just chaos. There would be nothing else. Balance is key. Without the gods, the people would destroy the land and themselves; without people to believe in them, the gods not exist.]
M-Mother Moro... I'm sorry. [She didn't mean to make you relive painful memories. And is going to snuggle up against that warm wolf fur of yours now, yup.]

When they cut the head of the Forest Spirit, everything will die.

But, Mother, you are here now...and alive. So you mustn't dwell on bad things that will happen upon your return home. Live and be well here, Moro. Your presence here is as much a blessing as anyone elses.
[A pause, and the little sprite cups her hands together, looking at then sadly.]
I-I...I'll pray for a better outcome for your world. There...There must be another way. Someone who sees killing the gods as error... Mother, I don't want you and your world to die.

It is the will of the Forest Spirit alone should my world live or die. And the Malnosso have done the unforgivable - they've destroyed the natural order and brought me back from the dead.

Miya strokes the white wolf's fur again, smiling, though it was a bittersweet smile.]
Then, Mother Moro, I will paint a picture of you, so that even when you are gone, you will be remembered by those who wish to remember you and the things you have done to guard your beautiful and bountiful garden. ♥

I cannot believe that, Mother. And...and though I don't agree with your hatred and anger, I understand it. And though you may bring death, Moro ookami-sama, you also protect life in your forest.

But, Mother, if ever you need assistance, I will aid the growth of your garden! I-I have mastered a skill almost that allows me to create flowers and the saplings you saw before! ♥ [Even if they were supposed to be full grown trees...]
