My meaning lies within the forests themselves. The Forest Spirit granted me life, and if he saw fit to take it away then my job for him was done.

I cannot die at the hands of humans. Their bullets steal my strength, but they could not kill me. In the end, it was the Forest Spirit who rewarded me with death.
