[As always, Moro's use of the journal is extremely minimal. She has only one thing to say to any of you, as she is so kind as to warn you all in advance.]

I have returned. All who grievously harm this forest will die.

[With that, Moro can be found in the forest, slowly and stiffly walking about to get herself familiar with the forest of Luceti once more. She sniffs at the bark of trees, scratches at some patches of dirt with her claws, and otherwise silently moves. She has no mark of the demon, as many of her victims from over a year ago have... she has nothing amiss about her other than the bleeding of her chest wound, which is simply dripping along the path she is walking.

She has not yet approached the village. All she has done is use her journal to address them, and she is currently carrying the paper book in her mouth.]

[Well it's obvious she could tell he wasn't human, so he might as well at least tell her.]

I'm a protector of all things that contain life. From the smallest ant to the largest tree, it's been my duty for as long as I can remember.

[Hmm!]

Then you and I are not so different. Pity you wear a human face.

[He's going to smile at her with an amused grin.]

You'll have to bring that up with the Great Leafenia Tree about my appearance. We look this way mostly for myself and the six other protectors to find our Princess. Our Princess being a human girl chosen by destiny to help protect the world from Fenrir alongside us.

[Ahhh, a story about a giant wolf! Strangely, Moro has not heard a reference to Fenrir even once in her life, not even in Luceti.]

[Meanwhile, she's going to just scoff at that!]

[Yeah, he can tell she's not fond of humans right off the bat.]

Is her being a human such a bad thing? Not all humans are born evil. I have seen Fenrir corrupt the hearts of humans, but... The good within the hearts of other humans always fought back against the darkness.

Good or evil.

[Chuckle, chuckle.]

In the end, humans are nothing but that which will destroy this world through their own desires.

[He frowns slightly at Moro.]

I must disagree with you, great one. There are humans who put aside their desires and selfishness in the name of love and good will. To save not only those who they cherish, but the entire world.

All humans will revert to that nature. I have yet to see one live their lives without it.

Have you seen that to be the case here too?

Of course I have.

But has it been that way for every single human in this village? Not all of them must be as you think them to be.

All will fall to the same behavior in time.

Well I don't wish to make this into an argument between us, Great One. Although we may not have the same views about humanity, I'd very much like to speak with you again about nature if you'll allow me an audience.

What knowledge do you seek?

About you mostly and how nature works in your world. I'd love to know.

It is not so different than this world, though this forest is small and frail. It lacks the Forest Spirit's blessed presence, and so is weak and nearly devoid of life.

[A strange thing to say when the forest here is pretty average and adequate, actually. So presumably her home forest is thicker and grander than this one.]

The Forest Spirit? Who or what is that?

[He's actually sitting down now because man is he fascinated by this.]

The god of life and death. That you do not know his name fills me with dread.

I'm afraid he doesn't exist where I'm from. But if he ever finds a way to my world or here, I'll be sure to greet him.

May he never be taken from the forest.

What would you do if he was brought here? Or taken by the Malnosso?

He could not be touched by them. He is the very breath of life, from the first gasp to the last whimper. The Malnosso cannot take that from a world.

Well you have my word if he ever finds his way to where I live in my world, I will protect him and so will my friends. It's our duty to do so.
