[From the moment that the newcomers entered the village, coming from the South when she was towards the North, Moro showed many more signs of severe territoriality. The trees have layers of bark clawed into, pawprints are stomped into the ground, fur is shed, and various gory or gruesome little marks all around the village.

Moro herself is persistently circling the whole village, firmly policing who is going in and out. It takes her a long time to go around, as she walks carefully to try and not miss anything, but where she does catch someone, she leaves them be only if she recognize them as Lucetian. Any newbies may have a little issue, but if you can convince Moro that you're really from Luceti, it'll be easy to leave.


But Lucetians will note that Moro is incredibly violent and aggressive towards the visitors. She snaps at them long before speaking to them, chases them until they retreat into the village, and some come so close that they come back with ripped shirts, some torn out feathers, and one hell of an adrenaline rush.

As the power goes out, some undoubtedly attempt to cut the trees for firewood... and those do get more seriously attacked. Or don't come back - perhaps they make it deeper into the woods, but it's also likely that Moro kills and possibly eats them. But never a Lucetian - she leads them to dry, dead wood, so that the trees are spared.

She was behaving so well! Feel free to come and ask her what's got her so murderous, catch her in the act of attacking some hapless newcomer trying to cut wood, or if your character only just came to Luceti recently, get mistaken for a newcomer.]

[Moro does not go far from the village, so she catches sight of him before he reaches the depths of the forest. She pauses, watching him and beholding his form, staying calm and interested.]

[It isn't long at all after she notices him that Enki halts, one forehoof still poised to step, as he glances around himself with nostrils flared and ears pricked in cautious curiosity. Though he remembers the wolf guardian from his previous time in Luceti, he hasn't spoken to her since returning... and if what he caught scent of isn't Moro, he most certainly needs to be wary, especially in this condition.

He says nothing, though, waiting poised just on the edge of movement, trying to determine if flight is necessary.]

[She walks a little closer, staying calm in her body language as she makes herself seen to Enki. There's a bit of silence, as she gazes on the Kirin from afar.]

[entaiho]

[Once the wolf comes into sight Enki relaxes visibly, shaking out his mane as though ridding himself of the worries he'd had. With a swish of his tail he paces a bit closer, ears now alert with simple curiosity, though he does keep a respectful distance.]

Hello, Moro.

It has been some time since I have last seen you. If I have been unjust, forgive me.

[entaiho]

Unjust?

[He gives a quiet huff, flicking his tail in a shrug of sorts.]

You do as you think necessary. Would it change your mind if I disagree with your methods?

It may. Though I have no other purpose than this.

[entaiho]

I know.

I cannot approve of what you do, Moro, but neither can I change your nature.

[biteoffherhead]

Were I gone as I should be, it would undoubtedly be of no issue...

Huh, well, none of us should be here, I'd think.

[biteoffherhead]

True. Nothing should be here.

[entaiho]

No.

[He falls silent for a moment or two, then shakes himself off and glances back toward the village.]

I would prefer to be away from all that until things settle down, though.

[biteoffherhead]

I will keep the newcomers out of the forest.

[entaiho]

[He hesitates, tail swishing once or twice as he considers.]

Can you do it without harming anyone?

[biteoffherhead]

If they are smart, they will flee from me.

[entaiho]

And if they don't?

[biteoffherhead]

Then they will die.

[entaiho]

[Rokuta sighs, absently pawing at the ground with one forehoof.]

You can't just... convince them to run?

[biteoffherhead]

If they can outrun me, then they will outrun me.

[entaiho]

You could give them a head start. After all, I doubt anyone you chase out of the forest would be foolish enough to return.
